Mapua now rated 4 Stars by QS Intelligence Unit

Mapúa University is now a 4-Star institution under the QS Intelligence Unit’s (QSIU) QS Stars Rating System.

The QSIU is an independent organization providing global intelligence in line with the higher education sectors around the world.

Coming from 3 Stars in 2017, the Yuchengco-led university managed to attain an overall rating of 4 Stars this 2020, garnering high scores under eight performance categories.

US-based Cengage lauds Mapua for digital activation initiatives

US-based education and technology company Cengage has tagged Mapúa University as among the most digital-ready universities in Asia. In 2019, Mapúa activated a total of 1,943 digital courses created by Cengage for the University, spanning 73 subjects with 45,894 digital student enrollments. This was the highest for any single university based on Cengage’s records of universities in the Philippines and in Asia.

ETYSBM and ETYSC holds its financial literacy seminar

The ETYSC, together with the ETYSBM, has recently conducted a financial literacy seminar with renowned speaker, radio host and financial literacy guru, Ms. May Villa. The seminar saw students asking questions about income types, saving up for the future and picking the right investment instrument to ensure their financial security. With an attendance of almost 60 students, the seminar became a joyful and educational affair as students were very eager and interested to learn. This was held last November 27, in the Cardinal Hall.

ETYSBM professor awarded of The Outstanding Filipino award

Mapúa University alumnus, climate diplomat and scientist, and Environmental Management System professor of ETYSBM, Sir Glenn Banaguas, is a recipient of this year’s The Outstanding Filipino (TOFIL) award for his exemplary contributions in environment conservation and science diplomacy. Awarding will take place on December 2 at the Centennial Hall of the historic Manila Hotel.
