ETYSBM's organizes its course orientation for freshmen and sophomores

The E.T. Yuchengco School of Business and Management conducted its course orientation for freshmen batch 2019 and sophomores batch 2019 in partnership with the ETYSBMSC last September 6, 2019.

The program was divided into 4 sections: the first section, with speaker Prof. Marthinson Villanueva, tackled the Marketing Management majors track for Business Administration students. Prof. Villanueva had a very extensive experience in sales all throughout his corporate career. Second in the program was speaker Prof. Conrado Bergantinos, who discussed the Operations Management majors track for BSBA students; Prof. Bergantinos is a well-respected figure in this field, currently being an operations head in several multinational firms and a business consultant.

The last two sections were reserved for Prof. Evangeline Balboa and Prof. Robert Theo Cailing. The former talked about the Financial Management majors track for BSBA students; Prof. Balboa is the current program coordinator for the BSA program and had a very fruitful and extensive 30+ years experience in the Landbank of the Philippines. Lastly, Prof. Cailing discussed the Accountancy program, particularly the rigid retention policy. Prof. Cailing is a University alumna and had worked with one of the Big Four audit firms in the country and is currently a tax consultant for SMEs in the Region IV-A area.

The program also encouraged students to relay their queries in order to clarify their confusions and questions regarding their particular program. A representative from Cengage Asia also discussed the METIS, an online library exclusive for Mapua students and faculty members.
